My background is in Software Development and IT, in fact it’s what I’ve done for the majority of my life. I have a passion for user interfaces, and believe that how a user interacts with my software is as important as how the software operates behind the scenes.
After dabbling with Arduino boards, and Raspberry PI’s, I decided to give myself a challenge to design a colour dash display akin to that of the Motec C125. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to replicate the electronic engineering that you’d find in the Motec, but I also knew that the costs in parts would be less than 10% of Motec’s RRP, I also love a challenge.
My display is bespoke, and currently 1 of 1, I’m very pleased with how it looks and operates but am also aware that it’s very much at the beginning of it’s life cycle, with plenty of testing to be carried out. I hope one day to be able to offer similar displays to others, but for the time being this is my baby and until I’m confident it can be reliable I am unable to make more.
Aside from my display I am able to produce bespoke Android and Web applications. I would love to add Motorsport orientated software to my portfolio, if you’d like to chat with me about your software ideas then I’d love to hear from you.
